Photoshoot of the Week: June 1st-7th 2020 – Kawasaki Ninja 400 & Dionne-Alojzija

On June 3, Kawasaki launched an international mandatory recall campaign regarding its hyper sports built between 2019 and 2020. The models involved are: Ninja ZX-10R (ZX1002E), Ninja ZX-10RR (ZX1002G) and Ninja ZX -10R SE (ZX1002H).
The potential problem concerns the original programming of the control unit which could cause a flashback to the engine if the “Kawasaki Quick Shifter” (KQS) shifting system is used in conditions of particular engine load (ie high rotation speeds and accelerator in opening over 50%). This phenomenon, Kawasaki company says, could lead to deformation and / or breakage of the reed valves. Prolonged use of the vehicle in such circumstances could damage the surrounding areas due to the high temperature of the exhaust gas, with potential fire risks. Therefore Kawasaki has provided for the reprogramming of the control unit on all the units concerned, plus replacement of the reed valves. As well as, if necessary, the repair of any component damaged by the backfire. It is essential that the owners deactivate and do not use the KQS function until the recall campaign is completed: they will also be notified in writing on this point.
So, if you’re worried about your Kawasaki and you prefer to stay home rather than ridin’ your japanese superbike, this is the perfect time to enjoy all the amazing pics that Dutch bikergirl and tremendous socialite Dionne-Alojzija together with her Kawasaki Ninja 400 dedicated to her followers on Instagram. This motorcycle is an easy sportbike to ride: but while novices have to be careful, more experienced riders like her find this bike fast and fun: it handles beautifully whether you are waddling through city traffic or speeding up on the highway. Even if she allways wears her helmet, believe me: this motorbike will always plaster a smile on her face every time she thumbs the starter.
And by the way, the Kawasaki Ninja 400 model may not be among the defective motorcycles, but this girl is definitely on fire!

The 2020 Kawasaki Ninja 400 continues upon the success of its small-displacement predecessors: the Ninja 250R and Ninja 300. It’d be easy to dismiss the Ninja 400 as a bored and stroked 300, but the new arrival is much more than that. It’s actually an all-new model that Kawasaki says is closer to the larger Ninja 650 than the 300. The Ninja 400 represents Kawasaki’s effort to attract beginner motorcyclists to its brand, while also satisfying experienced riders with a capable all-around motorcycle. Sharing the same engine and most of the same components, the Kawasaki Z400 is the naked, or standard-style, version of the Ninja 400 with a tubular handlebar and more upright seating position.
Kawasaki Ninja 400 offers the largest displacement in its category at 399cc with the sophistication of twin-cylinder power. Approachable power, superb ergonomics and class-leading performance offer a smooth, manageable ride that’s ideal for new riders while also alluring experienced riders. A low seat height and aggressive styling with LED headlights make the Ninja 400 the ideal choice for riders looking to enter the sport-riding scene.
The Ninja 400 is a street-born, track-inspired lightweight sportbike. Unlike other lightweight sportbike competitors, the Ninja 400 has more power with its larger displacement engine; fresh, angular bodywork with LED headlights for the most modern styling; and has the Kawasaki Racing Team DNA from the only manufacturer that currently holds four consecutive FIM Superbike World Championships (2015/2016/2017/2018). Every ride thrills as only a true Ninja sport bike can.
The award-winning Ninja 400 sportbike was developed to suit a wide range of riders, allowing them to have a motorcycle that provides plenty of excitement while feeling confident. Thanks to its efficient design, the compact, lightweight engine provides a class leading power to weight ratio. The power delivery was designed to be smooth and manageable, with abundant low-end torque to enable smooth throttle response for a range of riders. Complementing the performance and handling of the new Ninja 400 is the sharp looking Ninja sportbike styling, designed to catch the eye of even the most seasoned riders. For 2020, the Ninja 400 is available in Pearl Blizzard White and Metallic Spark Black/Magnetic Dark Gray/Phantom.
Get ahead with class-leading power and performance with the all-new Ninja 400. Clad in sharp new Ninja styling, the Ninja 400 has an engine and chassis that are more powerful and significantly lighter than its Ninja 300 predecessor. Its stronger engine performance, light, predictable handling and relaxed, sporty riding position make the Ninja 400 both fun and easy to ride.
