Mercedes-Benz C Class

The Mercedes-Benz C-Class is a line of compact executive cars produced by Daimler AG. Introduced in 1993 as a replacement for the 190 (W201) range, the C-Class was the smallest model in the marque’s line-up until the A-Class arrived in 1997. The C-Class is built at Mercedes-Benz factories in Sindelfingen and Bremen, Germany as well as numerous satellite factories in other countries. The first C-Class (W202) sedan was produced on 1 June 1993, and the first of the second generation (W203) rolled off the assembly line on 18 July 2000. The C-Class has been available with a 4Matic (i.e. four-wheel drive) option since 2002. The third generation (W204) was launched in 2007. The latest generation C-Class (W205) came out in 2014.

Mercedes has presented a long-wheelbase version of the new 2015 C-Class called C260 L at the Beijing Motor Show. Designed to take on similarly stretched variants of the BMW 3-Series, the Audi A4 and the Volvo S60, the C-Class L is 2.3 inches longer than its regular-wheelbase counterpart. The extra space is hardly noticeable when the sedan is viewed from the outside but it is perceptible when sitting in the rear seats.

DaimlerChrysler introduced the W204 C-Class on 18 January 2007 and displayed it in the 2007 Geneva Auto Show. Sales started on 31 March 2007 in almost all European countries. The new family had an extended wheelbase and tracks, a stiffer bodyshell and a design inspired by the W221 S-Class with some influences from the C219 CLS-Class. The C-Class received a facelift in 2011 for the 2012 model year including new LED taillights, a revised dashboard and instrument cluster layout, and a revised front fascia and headlights.

The current generation W205 C-class was launched at the 2014 Detroit Auto Show. It is the first car to use the all-new Modular Rear Architecture (MRA) platform. The new structure is significantly lighter using aluminium and high strength steel extensively throughout the body, resulting in a 100-kilogram (220 lb) weight decrease. The Mercedes-Benz C-Class 205 chassis spawned four C-Class bodystyles: Sedan (W205), Wagon (S205), Coupe (C205), and Cabriolet (A205).

In 1994, development began on the W203 C-Class. Though originally available as a sedan and a station wagon, the W203 series in 2000 debuted a fastback coupé (SportCoupé) version that, when facelifted, became the Mercedes-Benz CLC-Class. The CLC-Class remained in production until 2011 when it was replaced by a new W204 C-Class coupé for the 2012 model year.
The second generation C-Class was introduced in March 2000. The sedan debuted with a range of inline-four and V6 petrol engines and inline-four and -five diesels, later W203’s received the V6 diesel. Most of the engines were carried over from the W202, but the C320 was exclusive, offering 160 kW (215 hp; 218 PS). The diesels now featured common rail direct fuel injection and variable geometry turbochargers. A six-speed manual gearbox was optional on some of the range, With exception to the C320 and C32 AMG. Notably (post 2005), for the first time, the number designations were no longer equivalent to the engine displacement, more specifically in the Mercedes C200 (1.8-litre), C240 (2.6-litre) and C200 CDI (2.2-litre).

Jaguar XE

The Jaguar XE (codename X760) is a compact executive car manufactured and marketed by Jaguar Cars and launched at the October 2014 Paris Auto Show, with production having begun in April 2015.
Available in rear-wheel drive or all-wheel drive configurations and designed by Ian Callum, the XE is noted for its aluminum suspension componentry as well as its bonded and riveted aluminium monocoque structure — the first in its segment.
The XE is powered by the new Jaguar Land Rover 2.0-litre turbocharged four-cylinder engine range called Ingenium, and the new Jaguar 3.0-litre supercharged V6 petrol engine used by the F-Type. The V6 engines features in higher performance variants.
The Ingenium 2.0-litre engine family will come on both petrol and diesel variants and in a range of different power outputs. The 2.0-litre diesel producing 163 PS (120 kW; 161 hp) plays a part in reducing the overall averaged fuel consumption and carbon emission figures of new Jaguars, being capable of beating the 25 km/L (4.0 L/100 km; 59 mpg‑US) barrier, and producing CO2 emissions of 99 g/km. The cleanest models in Britain will have Vehicle Excise Duty charged at £0 per year.
Jaguar’s Special Operations division will prepare a high performance variant to compete with the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio, Audi RS 4, the BMW M3 and the Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG. This model will use the Jaguar AJ-V8 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine, developing 500 PS (370 kW; 490 hp).

Suzuki GSX-R1000

The Suzuki GSX-R1000 is a sport bike from Suzuki’s GSX-R series of motorcycles.[1] It was introduced in 2001 to replace the GSX-R1100 and is powered by a liquid-cooled 999 cc (61.0 cu in) inline four-cylinder, four-stroke engine.
For 2001, Suzuki introduced a new GSX-R model that replaced the largest and most powerful model of the GSX-R series sport bike, the GSX-R1100, with the all new GSX-R1000. As the model name revealed, the engine’s cylinder displacement was roughly 1,000 cc (61 cu in), about 100 cc smaller than its predecessor. The GSX-R1000 was not just an enlarged version of the GSX-R750, although it shared many features with its little brother. The main frame is the same in both models, but the material used on the big brother was .5 mm (0.020 in) thicker. Suzuki claimed the torsional rigidity of the frame had increased 10% in comparison with the GSX-R750.
The 2017 model, introduced to reporters at EICMA in late 2016, had a significantly redesigned engine the first since the last engine update on the 2009 model. This new engine has a higher RPM limit and no balancer shaft to quell vibration, also a mechanical variable valve timing used for ten years by Suzuki in MotoGP and drive by wire throttle. This model is the first to get the addition of traction control with a (IMU) inertial measuring unit measuring yaw, roll and pitch also all lighting is now LED. Another first for any GSX-R is the use of a fuel gauge on this model. Along with the new 2017 GSX-R1000 model, Suzuki has also released a up spec model GSX-R1000R; this R model comes with a Motion Track Brake System, Bi-directional quick shifter and launch control. Also on the R model, as reported by Sport Rider, are the same Showa Balance Free Front (BFF) fork and Balance Free Rear Cushion (BFRC Lite) shock that come standard on the 2016 Kawasaki ZX-10R. Claimed specifications are 199 horsepower at 13,200 rpm, 86 lb-ft torque at 10,000 rpm; 76.0 mm x 55.1 mm bore x stroke, and 13.2:1 compression ratio.

Suzuki Burgman

The Burgman series of scooters (known in Japan as Skywave) is produced by Suzuki with engine capacities from 125 cc up to 650 cc. At the time of debut in the 400 cc displacement, it was the first single-cylinder maxi-scooter over 250cc.
Equipped with 4-stroke engine coolant and brake system with disc brakes both in front and rear, it was partly revised in 2001. Two more restylings followed; the first in 2003 with the addition of the double front headlight and the softening of the lines while the second restyling takes place in 2007 where the line becomes slimmer and sporty. From road tests it has been found that its advantages are hospitality on board for pilot and passenger, load capacity and handling.
Since 2007, the 150 cc displacement is not available, replaced by the 200 cc displacement. The top model remains the 650 Executive, which unlike the smaller models, offers a two-cylinder engine and an electronically assisted CVT gearbox. The lower displacement models, on the other hand, are traditional in the field of these vehicles, the traditional CVT gearbox with rollers.

Kawasaki Z1000

The Kawasaki Z1000 is a four-cylinder motorcycle in the streetfighter or standard style. It was first introduced as a successor to the early-1970s Z1 and Z900 machines.
Kawasaki introduced the Z1 (900) motorcycle in 1972 as the first of the Kawasaki Z series. Four years later they introduced the Kz900. The original Z1 was the first series of Japanese motorcycles with the combination of four cylinders, dual overhead cams and 903 cc.
The Z1000 was redesigned for 2010. Along with the customary styling update came a slightly larger capacity engine. The motorcycle was officially marketed as the “Z1000 ABS” as ABS came fitted as standard.
In 2013 Kawasaki broke with the 3 year update cycle and choose to release a “special edition”, alongside the standard edition, to mark the 40th anniversary of the Z brand. The differences between the models were purely aesthetic.
The Z1000 was restyled and updated for 2014 making slightly more power and front brake caliper are 4 piston monoblock. Also a big piston Showa separate function fork along with lighter wheels and a slightly larger gas tank.
